NGOs/NPOs/WELFARE SOCITIES FRAMEWORK IN PAKISTAN
LAWS & REGULATIONS OF NGOs/WELFARE SOCTIES REGISTRATION IN PAKISTAN
There are following main laws applicable for registration of NGOs in Pakistan:
- The Societies Registration Act 1860
- The voluntary Social welfare Agency (Registration& Control) Ordinance,1961
- The Trust Act ,1882 /Punjab Trust Act 2020/ Sindh Trust Act 2020/ ICT Trust Act 2020
- Companies Act 2017 (Section 42)
Process under The Punjab Trust Act 2020
Administrative at Provincial & District level by Assistant Commissioner
- Minimum 1 Author,1 Trustee and 1 Beneficiary
- Trust of Immoveable Property (Non-Testamentary declaring of property to be transferred and registered in the name of Trust)
- Trust of Moveable Property (Non-Testamentary declaring of property to be transferred and registered in the name of Trust)
- Trust Deed
- Compete Profile and identification details of Author, Trustees & Beneficiaries,
- Registration:
- Apply to Assistant Commissioner (AC)
- Assistant Commissioner will forward to Director of Land records, Punjab (Director)
- Director will verify the record through investigating & Prosecuting Agencies (NAB, FIA, FBR, ANF etc.)
- After verification reports by agencies, Director issue certificate of registration
- Revenue Department of Punjab
